Hello, we are currently using the free version of PublishPress.

Occasionally, let’s say once or twice a month, a scheduled change to a post is not published. Our editor has lost confidence in the plugin’s reliability as a consequence.

Our setup includes DISABLE_WP_CRON, replaced with a cron job that runs every 5 minutes, calling wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron. this is a VPS with 8GB RAM and 4CPU’s so doing a cron job every 5 minutes shouldn’t be too much for it.

Any idea what to try or check? Do you see any issues with the cron setup described above? We’re also considering buying a cron monitoring plugin to see if there are any errors there, but wanted to clear our setup with you first.

PublishPress works great when it works but those odd time it doesn’t makes us hold back on purchasing the PRO version.

    Hi @dpacks

There seems to be some confusion here. This plugin does not impact the scheduling or scheduled posting of content in any way at all.

A quick clarification on the message above: you can schedule posts via the Calendar in PublishPress.

However, the actual publishing process on that future date is out of our hands. It’s all handled by WordPress.
