    Hi,

When I try to login with my WordPress.com account I get a “You do not own that identity” error.

    Recipe 1:
    1) Click WP icon and enter username in popup
    2) Open new tab to WordPress.com and login.
    3) Click “click here to continue to the website that’s asking for identification”.
    4) White error screen with the mentionned message.

    Recipe 2:
    1) Login to wordpress.com
    2) Click the OneAll WP logo and enter username in popup.
    3) Error message appears in popup.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

to be able to login with your WordPress.com account you need a blog at WordPress.com

I have for example created this test blog: http://sclaudes.wordpress.com.
I’m now able to login by using sclaudes.

If you get the error You do not own that identity then you probably don’t have the corresponding blog under wordpress.com

    Regards,

Hi Claude. I think that we solved this via email a while ago but for anyone else who comes across this, the problem is that the subdomain of your blog and your username need to be identical – in my case they were not.

    Cheerios
    Marc
