[Resolved] [Plugin: Social Login] Terrible concept

  • Utilizing a third-party site to manage login information is completely ridiculous. It gives all of the information to them, not you, acting as a third party.

Every time your users log in to your site, that wealth of information (facebook, google, etc) goes through OneAll’s website first.

There are much better, direct, solutions out there.

  • This plugin is from oneall too. Why this is different?

    Hi danetidwell,

OneAll has consolidated the social networks in a single solution. This makes the setup easier and the service very robust.

Social network APIs are constantly changing and being updated. OneAll monitors these changes and automatically updates APIs, so you can be sure Social Login will always run smoothly and with the most up-to-date API calls.

The data is stored in your private repository on the OneAll servers. You can access or remove it anytime and use a lot more features through the API: http://docs.oneall.com/api/

There are other solutions, I however doubt that they are as robust and versatile.

    Regards,

First of all it says we need to create an account, so I do that, then it tells me that I have to create a site… how many more hoops do I have to jump through to get things to work?
