  • Resolved EkoJR

I noticed that some of the social login options aren’t working correctly, especially when it relates to open-ids. I currently host a plugin for WordPress, so it seemed logical to simplify the login and register process with a social login plugin, and use the WordPress option (…and a few other open-ids). Options like Google, Yahoo, and AIM are not a problem added to the Contact Info, but open-ids like WordPress, Openid, StackOverflow, etc. rely solely on the Jabber setting.

So, it got me thinking, if there is a direct connection with what is in the user’s profile contact info at the webmasters site and what option you use to connect with through your plugin? Is there a way to expand the contact info, and do you plan on upgrading this plugin in that manner in the future?

I haven’t had the opportunity to explore that part of WordPress nor do I even know if they will allow plugins to modify the user profile to add additional variables. Anyways, thanks in advance.
