When Social generates FB/Twitter messages, the link back to the post is always in the form

But my blog's permalink structure is defined as

Can Social create the permalink using that structure? The FAQ illustrations make it look like it's possible, but I can't find a setting to tweak to make it happen...

    From the FAQ: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/social/faq/

Can Social use Bit.ly, Bit.ly Pro or another URL shortener when broadcasting?

Social uses the core WordPress shortlink feature when broadcasting blog posts. Any plugin that interacts with the shortlink will also be reflected in Social's broadcasts.

If I understand the question correctly, I think it is how can he use the standard URL permalink structure and not a URL shortener of any kind.

You could create a plugin that effectively disables the short URL feature of WordPress by always returning the long URL. A plugin like this might already exist.

I really don't see how this is resolved. I am having the same issue even though my permalinks are set to display a different structure.
