[Plugin: Sociable] How to get rid of unused social media in html source

  • I’m using only four types of social media, twitter, facebook, linkedin and google+, but all the code of the rest is present underneath each post in the html. I like to keep my html as clean as possible, so is it possible to remove the unnecessary code?

You can see what I mean when you look at the source of this page: blog.

  • No one? I really think it’s not good to have a lot of unnecessary code in the html. When I only use four social media sources at the bottom of my posts, I don’t want/need all the other social media mentioned in the source code of my html pages. Could even slow down the loading of the page.

No one commented on this topic, so I’m going to give it another try.
I’m working on making my site better SEO wise, and so I’m trying to reduce the number of links on my pages, thinking about link juice.

Because sociable also lists every unused social media type as a html link in the source, for every post, the number of links on my pages is too heigh and unnecessary. On a page with ten posts, all these links are present times 10.

Please make the plugin so that only the used social media types are converted in html links.

    Ok, one more time 😉

How can I hide all the html code of all unused social items? I use only four of them, but they are all listed in the html source and that seems to me to be very dirty and inefficient.
