    Hi! How can I hide (or remove) the excerpts from my links? Here is an example of facebook, when someone tries to share a post: https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hotaphrodite.com%2F%3Fp%3D245&t

    Here's the site: http://www.hotaphrodite.com/

    I don't want my links to show that words below the post URL. I just want the title of the site and the post URL in the link; actually I just want excerpts when there's a text in the post, when there is only an image, all I want is the image, the site's title and the URL of the post to show up.

    Due to my lack of knowledge, I misplaced "meta tags" by "excerpts"; in order to have an answer to my question, I'm posting this same question again replacing "excerpts" for "meta tags". The updated question is here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-sociable-hide-or-remove-meta-tags-when-a-post-is-shared?replies=1#post-3217219

    for those looking for removing the excerpt, this worked for me
    line #451 comment out like this. This is in the sociable.php file in your plugins on the server.
    add_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'auto_sociable' );
    //add_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'auto_sociable' );
