I am having the same issue as well. Cannot drag and drop. Updated to the latest version and it still won’t drag and drop. This was working perfectly prior to the updates.
I’ve found a way to reorder icons 🙂
drag and drop don’t work but…
1- unselect all icons
2- select one by one your icons, from the first icon to the last icon you want show on your post
For exemple if you want this order:
facebook, twitter, live
you must select facebook as the first icon, save changes;
after select twitter, save changes;
and now select live, save changes.
It works 🙂

anyway getting a 404 error since upgrading to the latest sociable

I am using IE 8 and the latest version on sociable
Could the problem be that the JQuery code is missing from the lastest version of the plugin? I downloaded the lastest ZIP and noticed that the “jquery” folder is empty. In previous versions of the plugin this folder had the JQuery code to support drag-and-drop.
Gave it a shot and copied up the jquery files from 3.0.6 .. no go no drag and drop
– reinstalled 3.0.6 from my local install and I’m back in business on the drag and drop aspect.

and IE 7.0.6001.18000
pity it doesn’t work as this is a fantastic plugin

It looks to me like one of the latest versions of sociable is not including sociable-admin.js. The admin page is looking for this file and it does not exist.
I would guess that the drag and drop functionality is handled in that JS file and this is why it is not working.
