• I just installed SmugMug Responsive Slider on WP 3.4.2. After installing I got the expected “activate” link, but that did nothing but direct me to the plugin settings page, which doesn’t exist: …/options-general.php?page=smugmug-settings

In the Plugin listing for SmugMug Responsive Slider I have a “Deactivate” and and “Edit” link but no “Settings” and I never got sent to SmugMug.

Clicking the activate link just takes me to a WP page on my site:

    No Results Found
The page you requested could not be found. Try refining your search, or use the navigation above to locate the post.

Any ideas what to try next? This plugin looks really cool.

If the plugin is activated navigate to Dashboard -> Settings -> SmugMug Slider. There should be a button “Start activation with SmugMug”

If you dont see this button, uninstall/reinstall the plugin to clear the settings.

What other plugins do you have installed?

That’s the problem. I can’t even activate. When I click the activate link it goes straight to the “No Results Found” page on my blog (it’s trying to go to the settings page, but it doesn’t seem to exist). It never even tries to go to Smugmug.

I’ve completely removed and reinstalled both manually and via WP Plugin dialog.

Strange indeed. I tested activation on 3.4.2 and all went well. What plugins do you have installed? What theme are you using?

My theme is Lumin by Elegant Themes (you can see my site at supergimp.com). I’ve tried disabling plugins one at a time with the same result. Besides Askimet and Shadowbox, I’ve got a couple Facebook and twitter plugins (that send post announcements) but nothing else.

    Not sure what to try.

    Thanks

Hmmm…still got nothing. Deactivated all plugins and no-go.

    Hi there.

Ok I managed to get it to activate. I have my WP installed in a /blog/wp-admin… directory. The activate link at the top (after activating the plugin) was direct from the root. I copied the link, added /blog at the head and I was golden. Registered with Smugmug and got the initial settings page.

Now I’m activated, but I can’t change the settings again because there is no Settings link on the Plugins page. But I think I’m onto the problem. Any thoughts on where I need to modify the path to get access to settings?

    Thanks,

    Steve
