[Plugin: Smart YouTube] Embedded Video Forwards Me to YouTube Site

    Lately whenever I embed videos on my posts using Smart Youtube, it takes me to the actual YouTube site location whenever I press the “Play” button. I’ve been using this plugin since late of last year and the videos embedded automatically play whenever I press play.

    Lately it’s been forwarding me to YouTube itself and just watch the video there instead of watching it from my site. This has been happening way before I even upgraded my site to WP 3.2.

    I am using the latest version of Smart YouTube: 3.8.8

    I’ve just had a quick look, the problem appears to be that you have an <a> wrapped around your <span class="youtube">. How do you embed your videos? Do you just use httpv:\\www.youtube.com\(...) or do you use anything else?

    If that doesn’t help, try re-installing the plugin.

    I’m using a shortcode, just using httpv://youtube.com/etc. as stated on the Smart Youtube usage.
