[Resolved] [Plugin: Slideshow] Request using caption

  • I would love it if it would show the “caption” or JUST the “description” on the image. Not the title.

I use the title for information that helps me sort the images and doesn’t reference anything necessary for the end user. I can put specific information in description or caption that I do need displayed.

    Version 2.1.11 for Slideshow.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Riane,

Custom titles and descriptions will be available in version 2.2.0. Since this version might not be here very soon, you could edit a file in the slideshow plugin folder to get the desired effect.

The file to edit is named slideshow.php and is located in [yoursite]/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/views/SlideshowPlugin/. If you delete line 78, image titles shouldn’t show anymore.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Thank you!! That worked.
