I have recently modified your plugin on my install so I can include rel=”lightbox” in a slide when it has a link included with the slide. So when someone clicks on the slide it loads with the lightbox plugin I have included.

I am extremely impressed with this plugin and am very pleased with how you have created. However I am in fear that when I update the plugin I will loose the ability to ensure the links included within my slideshow will open up using my lightbox plugin.

I’m hoping you can include a feature to allow this to work in future updates.

Yes, if you update the plugin you will lose your changes and the lightbox won’t be included anymore. You would have to add rel=”lightbox” to the <img /> tag again.

On the project board you’ll find that the slideshow lightbox feature is scheduled for release in version 2.3.0. This means the only major release in the mean time is version 2.2.0, the other updates are mainly bug fixes that do not interest you when you’re already able to show slideshows on your website.

    Best regards,

    Hi Stefan,

Thanks for the for explaining that the feature will be included in the next main release! I will wait until then to update or be aware that I need to change the code manually if I do update.

Really good plugin, works very well and a good solution to what I needed.A joy to use!

    Hi guys,
I’m trying to include lightbox with slideshow but I can’t find where to add the rel attribute to do it. Can either of you point me to where that is done? For what it’s worth, I’m using the widget. Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind! I found the answer by googling a little more. Thanks for the great plugin!
