# [Plugin: Slideshow] Dark Slide Covers Image

 * Hi,
 * I am new to WordPress and new to this forum. First of all, I love this slide 
   generator. It is exactly what I am looking for, very neat, clean, and simple.
   It is installed and works. However, when each image is displayed, there is a 
   dark gray slide that covers 2/3 to 3/4 of the image. You can still see the image,
   but it looks as if a polarizing filter has been placed over the majority of the
   image. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

 * The gray slide that overlaps your slides actually is the description box. I’ve
   seen more people getting confused by the terrible appearance of it.
 * The best solution for now is to adjust the slideshow settings to not show the
   title and description, making the box disappear.
 * Version 2.0.0 (which has yet to be released) will give you more control over 
   the description box’s behaviour, although it will already be a lot more subtle
   by default.
