    Hello:

    I have some pictures that have different aspect ratios (most horizontal, some vertical), and when adding them together in a slideshow I have the problem that vertical images (and generally, images that aren’t as wide as the slideshow itself) are aligned to the left, instead of centered. Have a look here:

    Using Firebug, I see that the relevant CSS class is the one called “slide”, but apparently I can’t change it through the Dashboard. I tried to add the following to the custom CSS:

    slide {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    }

    But these changes don’t come through.

    How can I solve this problem?

    Hi Paul,

    You should do this in the custom css:

    .slideshowcontainer .slide {
        text-align: center;
    }

    A ‘margin’ value only works when you want to center an element itself. The slide you call it on is already dead-center. To affect the contents of an element you should use ‘text-align’.

    Have fun!

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    That worked. Thanks!
