[Resolved] [Plugin: Slick Social Share Buttons] displaying on specific pages

  • Greetings,
    love the plugin.
    i have things set how I want to display for posts. however, i don’t want to display it on ALL pages. It would be great if there was an option to exclud pages (like the categories) optin. I want to know if you can give me some guidance on displaying this on certain pages or child pages of a parent. ideally, i would like to add a statement to the theme template.
    thanks.

    This option is not currently available in the plugin. You would need to hide it using CSS or create a custom function to handle it.

    thanks for the reply. i ended up customizing the function where i can call a page and have it not show.

    Hi fcandillo,

    Could you please share how you’ve customised the function to show it only on certain pages?

    Thanks.

    Yes I would like to hide it from a particular template page actually for WP-Spire so if you can share how you hid it from a specific page template that would be awesome.

    in the inc/dcwp_social.php look for:
    if(is_page()){
    and change to:
    if(is_page() && !is_page( array( ‘your-page-01’, ‘your-page-02”) ) ){

    make sure you keep a backup of this. because, you will need to add again it when you update the plugin.

    hope that helps.

    That does help but it would seem easier for the plugin developers to include a “Hide Social Share Plugin from this Page” option in the editor 🙂
