[Resolved] [Plugin: SiteTree] sitemap.xml.gz not found after exporting site to new domain.

  • Hi,

Here’s a weird problem I encountered. When I exported my database to my domain (I work on my theme locally on my computer), I had an error on my sitemap page which said something like: sitemap.xml.gz not found and my sitemap page wasn’t displaying.

I changed the page’s slug and reassigned it in the sitetree plugin and it worked. Does anyone know why? Did I forget to send a file or do something in particular when moving my site to its domain?

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi,
that’s very odd! SiteTree does not create any gzip(ped) version of the sitemap nor it stores the sitemap on the hard drive of the server.
The only reason I can think of is a conflict with another plugin or a misconfiguration.

If you exported the whole database, that’s all you had to do in order to keep your settings.

Oh.. I have the Google XML Sitemap plugin installed too, I think its the one that creates that gzip file! Thanks for your time!
