(will upgrade to 3.1.3 shortly)
We are using a network setup to provide site options to our clients, who can quickly and easily create and customize a blog for their needs.
We are using the SCW to copy blogs, and I have a few questions about possibilities of tweaking it to do more.
For example, it doesn’t copy the blog tagline bloginfo(‘description’)
Also, it only copies the header and wp-cycle images correctly. Instead of transferring the images and creating new instances, it is merely pointing to the original blog’s location for those images. This is not satisfactory because the originals may be modified in the future.
There are a few other little things it merely “points to” from the original site, instead of completely copying and making a new instance out of them, or referring to the originals.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a better solution to do what I just described? (copy images, tag line, don’t merely reference the original, but completely write and then cite the new items).
I’d greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.
