Support » Plugins » [Plugin: Simply Exclude] Excluded, but not prohibited

  • Just a quick not about this plugin. In case anyone is in any doubt about what it does: categories and pages are hidden from wordpress functions, in other words, if you know the URLs of page, categories or posts in the categories, they can still be called in the browser! So, a very neat trick, but not adequate for really secure content. To make this a bit more secure, you can change the post-slug and category-slug to something less ‘user friendly’ like a scrambled string to prevent lucky guesses if someone is trying to find hidden content by calling URLs.
