Support » Plugin: Simply Exclude » [Plugin: Simply Exclude] conflict with the Post page associator plug in

  • Hello,
There is a conflict between the SE plug in and the Post page associator.
The posts that are in the category that i chose from showin’ posts on my homepage are displaying on the pages ruled by post page associator but all other pages are blank.
I think there is an incompatibility between Post Page Associator and the Simply Exclude Plugin for me. In Simply Exclude i chose only one category to be seen on the homepage and it’s the only category that is show in the pages using post page associator.
When i desactivate the plugin Simply Exclude the pages are showing all the posts again…
If you know how it can be fixed…

    Marcoconut,

You are probably correct there may well be a conflict. Both plugins appears to ‘filter’ the wp_query object. The project is there is no ‘context’ to the wp_query object as it is passed from WP to the various plugin who massage and filter the query options. This is how I was stuck with the issue you and others reported before on the nav items gone missing.

I’ll need to investigate the Post Page Associator plugin.

    Thanks.

    Hello,
I’ve give priority to Simply exclude because i need this plugin for my homepage but i also use Post Page associator on more than 50 pages on my site and i hope you’ll find why those two are not working well together.
    Thanks for searching 😉

I am also finding that the plugin breaks Post Page Associator. I hope there is a solution some day as they are both great plugins 🙂
