I’ve installed SimpleMaps and it works brilliantly – exactly what I’m looking for. The problem is that it only works when I’m logged into my site’s backend….

When I’m not logged in, I get this error (when I load any page, even without a map):

The Google Maps API server rejected your request. The “sensor” parameter specified in the request must be set to either “true” or “false”.

So I solved that issue by manually inserting the header code (which SimpleMaps creates when I’m logged in) into my theme’s header. I also commented out the script in classes/simplemaps.php which inserts the code into the header so it doesn’t appear twice.

Doing that resolved the error issue, but then the map doesn’t load and I get a forbidden error on the maps script….

SO can anyone tell me why this plugin only works when I’m logged in and if there’s any way around this issue?!?!?

    Thanks very much

OK – apologies. Should have tested other plugins first. Pinned it down to Better WordPress Security’s “Filter suspicious query strings”. And the “Display random version number…” must be unchecked.

All working 100% – thanks for the excellent plugin.

    Hello Erve1879,

I have the same problem. How did you unchecked the “Display random version number”. Here is my email address [ redacted, support is offered via the forum and not email ] please help tnx.

I have the same issue but have no other plugins, i.e. testing on my local machine. mix35 any resolve?
