Support » Plugins » [Plugin: Simple Taxonomies] Meta keywords and description for Taxonomy pages

  • I’m currently using Simple Taxonomies and All-In-One SEO Pack.

My SEO pack does not capture the meta data attached to the taxonomies. To give you two concrete examples:

    1) I have a taxonomy page for the term “Johnson”, under the taxonomy “People”. I want my Meta description to copy the taxonomy description.

    2) My normal posts contain a number of taxonomy terms, just like tags. I want the SEO pack to get Meta keywords not only from tags, but also from the taxonomy terms.

    Any help on this? Thanks.

  • Please use the Meta SEO Pack plugin – it has full support for custom taxonomies. It also provides more options to use than All-In-One SEO Pack.

Great plugin you have there! I just started using it two days ago, and am very happy to have shifted.

I already tried Platinum SEO Pack before, but they’re not always updated. All In One SEO Pack was next, but when I started using taxonomies (which is the BEST thing that happened to WordPress), they’re not supported. Only Meta SEO Pack has given me exactly what I want.

Many thanks to the plugin creator!

I’m having a serious problem with my taxonomy pages..currently I use headspace plugin..this plugin allows me to set meta tags seperately for each taxonomy..but in meta seo pack I don’t have this option unfortunately and the title applies for all taxonomies..

my problem is, as u defined in your plugin’s description, taxonomy pagination causes duplicate content issue..
because meta tag is the same for all pages, I do receive a lot duplicate content warning in my webmaster tools..

is there a way to overcome this issue without installing your plugin ?
the only reason I can’t install your plugin is that I have to add seperate meta titles for each taxonomy..
