OK, relax this is not official and this thread is just a provocation to see if the author of the plugin replies to those hundreds of people who use the excellent simple tags plugin and wanna know if it is going to be officialy updated for the next WP 2.7 release. But I think that here we "deserve" an official reply from the author of this plugin. I tried to contact him a couple of time but nothing to do. His blog has not been updated for couple of months and its Google code website is full of people asking question but...nobody replies. So what's the matter? How can we know what's in the author mind if he doesnt reply us? A lot, really a lot of blogs (and I want to add that even famous blogs) use his wonderful plugin. Can we know if the author of the plugin namlely Amaury BALMER is still alive? Is he in trouble? Has he disappeared and he is nowhere to be found? Does he need money? Does he need food? Does he need water? Does he live under a bridge and he has embraced a new religion? If you have seen him recently please let us know how he is doing! Thanks!

If you don't get an adequate response, please consider please consider posting a "New Job Request" [1] to have a professional work with you, or consider joining and soliciting professional assistance from the wp-pro mailing list [2].

Amaury BALMER is alive and has replied to me and has stated Simple Tags will be supported in 2.7
His site is a pretty large site and he runs a lot of projects - I think he is just like the rest of us - trying to get caught up.
The plugin is great I hope it continues even when wordpress is in 10.0
