  • Try switching back to the Default theme and see if the widgets appear normally there.

Well I went back to everything default for the template. I had removed the menu from the main side bar and now I can’t put the menu back in the main side bar.

You didn’t have to change your settings, all I wanted to see if you can switch back to the WordPress Default Theme from the Appearance=>Themes section, and see if the widgets appear under that theme. I’m not familiar with the Tarski theme… do you get any error messages when you’re trying to use the Simple SideNav plugin? I can try the Tarski theme on my test server to see if it works, but the first right thing to do, would be to check if the plugin works on your site with the Default theme.

Oh sorry. I misunderstood your instructions. I activated the default WordPress theme. I went to the ‘Appearance/Widgets’ page. The widget for Simple Sidebar Navigation 1. Is grayed out and no Add button is available.

Please bare with me. I am new to everything WordPress.

By the way, I have your latest version 2.0.9 which I believe got updated today or yesterday.

There is only 1 widget is available by default – if you use it, it shouldn’t be available any more. To add more widgets, scroll down the widget page and add as many as you need. BTW, number of available widgets in the selection list will grow by 5 or 10 (not sure) every time you’re close to run out of them.

I’m not clearly following your situation. If you don’t mind me taking a look at your backend, you can set up a temporary password for me and let me take a peak – may be I’ll be able to figure it out for you. If you’re ok with that – email me directory at editor at (substitute the ‘ at ‘ with the @).
