[Plugin: Simple Fields] TinyMCE Not Working

  • Does anyone else use a WYSIWYG text area with simple fields. We’ve noticed that now it no longer works. We get an error from /wp-admin/js/editor.js that an object does not exist from the switchEditors.go function.

It can be traced back to 3 elements that exist on the main wordpress editor. #quicktags, #edButtonHTML, #edButtonPreview. which don’t exist on our page as we do not use the default text area. We’re using custom post types as well which lets us hide the main editor.

We’ve worked around it be prepending some empty spans with those ids into the page but its a pretty messy workaround.

Anyone else encounter this or have better fix?

    Thanks.
