The events widget relies on the backend being able to connect to Facebook. This may be iffy from time to time right now.

how is that different from the Fan Box? both require the Fan ID.

    thanks.

The Fan Box is created in the browser and makes your browser connect to Facebook.

The User Events listing is created on the server, and so your server has to connect to Facebook.

Fundamentally this is just a different type of interaction.

Thanks for a really great plugin.

Could you give an example of the format required in the user ID field e.g. v=app_12345678, full URL to page or just page.name etc?

    Cheers, Roggie

The ID needs to be the number of the user/page/app/group or group. It’s just the number, basically. Every “thing” in facebook has a unique number. Finding it can be the trick sometimes. 🙂

Thanks Otto – you put me on the right track and I found the number.

    Cheers, Roggie
