[Resolved] [Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] SFC Using Multiple Domains on Same Host?

  • I am trying to use Publish on a WP site that is hosted on GoDaddy. I have only one hosting account with multiple domains. I am getting an error message when I try to grant offline and publish permissions that says: An error occurred with GreenTap. Please try again later.

I have a feeling it is because the site URL and domain name is not correct, given that the green-tap.com domain is not the primary domain of the hosting account. The site I’m trying to use SFC with is http://green-tap.com and the primary hosting account domain is normoxia.com.

Can I use SFC with this kind of hosting setup?

  • So it looks like I answered my own question simply by waiting about 12 hours. It works now.

It does not appear that it matters that I host multiple domains on one hosting account through GoDaddy. I simply setup simple facebook connect using the normal instructions, entering http://green-tap.com as the site URL and green-tap.com as the site domain in the Facebook app settings and it works.

Reading other people’s posts who have had issues with SFC, waiting a few hours seems to solve about half of them.
