Support » Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect » [Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] How Is This Supposed to Work?

  • I’m a bit curious as to how this plugin is supposed to work before I start claiming anything is going wrong.

Is this plugin supposed to make users have to regiester a wordpress account and then connect to the App I create before being able to comment? I just discovered a bunch of weird things like when I logged out from wordpress, it also logged me out of Facebook.

What I’m looking for is a plugin like Facebook Comments for WordPress that allows a simple Facebook comment box allowing Facebook users to comment without having to request any permissions from an app. Ideally those comments would also sync to my Facebook page within the posts that are automatically published to my Facebook page.

Is any of this how the plugin operates?

    Thanks for your time.

No, this plugin does not implement the Facebook Comment box, for two reasons.

    a) I think that comment box is silly, and
    b) The plugin predates that comment box.

SFC-Comments allows users to comment using their FB credentials instead of typing in their name/email/url.

The logout from one=logout from both is normal. This is how Facebook recommends implementing FB Login systems.
