I am using the simple facebook connect plugin on two different sites. Each site is using the same version of the City Desk Gabfire theme. On one of the sites the facebook comment work perfectly and the other one the button is there but it appears to be dead. I installed both plugins at the same time and set them up the exact same way each time. Please see this example for each of the sites.

I think we met yesterday. 🙂

Anyway, the problem was a javascript one. Whenever you have javascript on the page, if any of it is broken, then it tends to break all javascript on the site.

In your case, the theme was busted, but this applies to anything using javascript code, whether it be the theme, or a plugin.

Your browser can be used to find errors in JS by looking at the Javascript Console.

Yep that was me. Thank you so much for helping me. What was the name of the tracking plugin you mention for spam prevention. I thought yo said tracking for validation but I can’t find that anywhere.
