[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Facebook User Profile Number ???

    Hi,

    great plug-in! i’m trying to set up the Facebook Status Widget, and it’s asking me for the Facebook User Profile Number.

    the link you provided to help find this takes me to a Facebook developers page that says “Page Not Found”.

    Does this widget have to connect to the application I created in order to install SFC or can I connect to a regular existing Facebook page such as:

    http://www.facebook.com/ElectableBranding

    any help would be greatly appreciated. sorry if this has already been asked. i looked at the FAQ and the other posts and didn’t see it.

    Yeah, unfortunately, they seem to have changed the pages around so finding your user id there isn’t as easy as it used to be.

    When I look at my own FB Profile page, and look at the “Videos of Me” link, then my user ID number shows up in that link. That’s one way to find it.

    The User Status widget does need an application to allow it to display at all, and it needs your user id number from FB in order to know who’s user status to display.

    And if you want to use that Fan Page for anything, then you’d put the Fan Page ID number into the SFC Settings page where it talks about the Fan Page information.
