Until today when I published a post to Facebook from SFC and there was no image in the post itself SFC would grab the user photo of the post author. For some reason SFC has now begun to grab a graphic element image from the right side of my header. (www.suitespace.com) I want to gain control of where SFC looks for an image when there is no image in the post so that I can return it to it’s former function of defaulting to the user photo for the author.

BTW: In case it’s important, to you the change today may have been caused by the install of a new SEO tool. I have disabled the tool but the functionality has not returned. I have also deleted the posts from FB that had the graphic elements added instead of the user photo.

    Thanks

SFC doesn’t grab an image, FB grabs one randomly if there isn’t one specified.

There’s a field on the main screen to specify a default image.

I’m noticing the same thing as mentioned in the original message but I do not have that particular ap. I’m noticing that the Outbrain plugin is selecting the same image for every post.

Here’s my question – “Otto” you said that “There’s a field on the main screen to specify a default image.” Which main screen are you referring to?

    Thanks!

I figured out that I could control all that with the Facebook Open Graph protocol. There is even a plugin…
