• I made the mistake of upgrading this plugin and discovered that the login form doesn’t show on the home page anymore. I deleted the upgrade and reinstalled the 2.2.7 version but the form is still missing! The form is on the secondary pages, but I and my users need to see it on the home page.

I’ve checked the settings and resaved them and made sure that the widget is activated in the sidebar. I’ve shutdown the browser and started back up–nothing. How do I get the login form back on the home page?

  • i had the same problem, during the upgrade the sidebar-login widget is removed from the active sidebar widgets i configured.
Solution is easy, go to wp-admin and then to Appearance and Widgets and drag the sidebar-login widget to the desired widget.

It vanished because I renamed the widget to allow multi-widget support. Just go to the admin widget panel and add it back into the sidebar.

If you have Super Cache (or a similar plugin) installed, you probably need to clear your cache.

How can you get to admin to fix it if your login has disappeared?
