Support » Plugins » [Plugin: SI CAPTCHA for WordPress] Image appears but does not contain letters – grid and curves only

I installed the plugin and when the captcha fields appear with the comment form, the graphic that is displayed is the blue lined grid with the purple arches, but no text content. The audio works and clicking refresh to get a different captcha changes the position of the curves but no text is rendered.

    Thoughts?

  • Solved – Turns out my server did not support True Type fonts. Changed the setting in securimage.php to use GDfonts and voila.

    Thanks for the great plug-in!

This version deals with this problem automatically:
    = 1.7.5 =
    – (28 Aug 2009)
    – CAPTCHA fix – Added Automatic fail over from TTF Fonts to GD Fonts if the PHP installation is configured without “–with-ttf”.
Some users were reporting there was no error indicating this TTF Fonts not supported condition when the captcha was not working.
