SI CAPTCHA conflict with Login Lockdown (4 posts)

I encountered a problem where users logging into my blogs would automatically bypass the Captcha when Login Lockdown 1.5 was also activated. I determined that SI Captcha stops working when the options Lockout Invalid Usernames? and Mask Login Errors? are turned on. Disabling these options with Login Lockdown allowed SI Captcha to work properly again.

My guess is the culprit is masking errors, if you turn that off does ithe CAPTCHA work? I think the problem is that the CAPTCHA is inserted in a way that is removed when you hide the errors.

Both plugings remove and replace the function wp_authenticate_username_password (mine does it to add the captcha check)
Because of this, you should not install both plugins at the same time.

It would be nice if there was a hook in there so I would not have to replace the function.

I have confirmed that both plugins will work together, as long as the masking errors in Login Lockdown are disabled.
