 * I’m very confused… it looks like there is a new version of the plugin, but the
page is down. Should we update or is this the end?

 * Hi, thank you for your question and I apologize for the confusion.
 * The plugin is not shutting down. It is simply under review due to a security
concern. We have patched the plugin and there is no concern anymore but the WordPress
plugin is doing a review to make sure. Until then, the plugin is temporarily
closed. I guarantee you that the plugin is super safe, especially if you update
   to version 3.18.4.
 * I appreciate the WordPress team as well as PatchStack being so rigorous and thorough
to make sure all plugins are held to high standards of security. Security is
very important to us as well.
 * All the best, Shabti

 * “I guarantee you that the plugin is super safe” is not an acceptable assurance.
There isn’t even any documentation on what changes v3.18.4 introduces.

 * I agree… there should be a changelog up to date somewhere.

 * Thanks Shabti for fixing the CVE security issue. This plugin is the BEST in my
opinion for easy frontend creation and editing of Posts with ACF taxonomies.
Glad things are back on track!

 * There is a changelog right here:

 * Also, this shows the security vulnerability information:

 * I use Frontend Admin behind a login for Post creation and editing, and I am the
only user, so none of this was concerning for me personally.
 * For the overall usage and popularity and the developer’s benefit, it is great
this issue was solved. However, it would have been nice if the underlying issue
would have been clearly communicated and that it was being worked on.
 * I too was completely under the impression that the FEA plugin was not going to
be available and spent many hours looking for alternatives that would come close,
and spent money on plugins that looked promising.
 * I am glad that FEA is back up and running, but the way this was handled makes
me think it is better to use this plugin as a “nice to have” and not a “must
have”, in case another glitch of some sort happens.

 * [@netconfig](https://wordpress.org/support/users/netconfig/) thank you your feedback.
Indeed, you are right that we could have handled this issue better and I apologize
for that. I definitely want this plugin to be a must have and that is what we
   will strive for.

 * I am also glad that this was resolved. This plugin is in my top 5.
