    Hello.
Facing issues with the plugin “Quick Event Manager” on the webpage below:

    https://iweb.langara.ca/coopcareer/events/

The page seems to keep loading (with orange circles at the centre of the screen) and doesn’t load until we refresh the page. We’ve tried it on multiple devices (PC/Mac, and mobile) and the same issue continues to occur. Please advise.

    Plugin version:
    Quick Event Manager
A quick and easy to use Event Manager
    Version 9.0.16 | By Fullworks

    System information:
    WordPress 5.5
    PHP 7.4.9

    Thank you,
    Rafael

Your theme seems to have some sort of pre-loader ( the orange bouncing balls ).

There is clearly some sort of conflict with your theme, and as it is a custom theme developed by you it is impossible for me to identify what the conflict is – but it is likely a jQuery conflict.

You will need to ask your developers for further investigation. If they identify a specific issue that I can resolve, let me know.

By the way have you tried the jQuery migrate enabler plugin the WordPress team released, whilst my plugin does not need it ( as far as I know ) I know the removal of jQuery migrate in V5.5 broke many sites.

Hello, thanks for your quick response.

Checking the jQuery migrate issue, I found this (temporary) plugin solution:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

I installed it, although it seems to be little better, the issue remains happening.

After activation of the plugin “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” on the website, it displayed the follow warnings related to your plugin:

jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encountered
This page generated the following warnings:

https://iweb.langara.ca/coopcareer/wp-content/plugins/quick-event-manager/legacy/quick-event-media.js: jQuery.fn.size() is deprecated; use the .length property

https://iweb.langara.ca/coopcareer/wp-content/plugins/quick-event-manager/legacy/quick-event-media.js: jQuery.fn.size() is deprecated; use the .length property
Please make sure you are using the latest version of all of your plugins, and your theme. If you are, you may want to ask the developers of the code mentioned in the warnings for an update.

Could you please advise about those warnings?

    Thank you so much.

They are just warnings and do not impact functionality.

They are also fixed in the next release which is currently in beta testing.

Do you have a caching plugin running.

If I clear my browser cache then I can see the page, so something pre caching the bouncing balls, perhaps you have something that optimises javascript that is changing sequencing.

You will have to go through a process of elimination I’m afraid.

    How are you getting on?

    Thanks for reaching out.
We are in a process of plugins elimination.
It’s a big multisite installation with over 500 blogs.
We recently migrated it from an old WordPress version and PHP (5.4) to an up-to-date infrastructure (WordPress 5.5 and PHP 7.4).
Almost everything run smoothly but we have faced some compatibility issues.
I think for now that the issue is not related to your plugin directly.
I will inform you once we have a result.
    Thanks again.
