When the shortcode is inserted into a post it causes wordpress to break when creating HTML for browser. I know this since everything behaves normally when plugin is deactivated; PLUS only posts with shortcode are mal-formed – posts without shortcode are normal [when plugin active].

Also deactivated all other plugins and switched to 2014 Theme and got same result: pages with shortcode are mal-formed in browser.

I am using the latest version of the plug-in and deleted old version before installing new.

currently using WP 4.7.5; I will upgrade WP to latest version and post if any changes.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’ve found the issue with the plug-in (for me):

I am running PHP 7.0. When I downgraded to PHP 5.2 the plugin ran normally.

Unless I am wrong about compatibility with PHP 7.0, I would ask the developer to change the text in the Details Section of the Plugin page that read:

Requirements. To use OpenBook, your server must use PHP 5 or higher, and cURL must be enabled.

If you could specify which versions of PHP work and or any workarounds to suggest.
