I have the same issue; however: the option panel does save the new settings, so there is no real problem. I just tested the plugin; it works fine.
Plugin works if you just want the default text and not the icon or button.

gives the “do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” error. I have tried giving global write for options-general.php and shareonfacebook.php and neither works. I’m sure there is an easy solution…

Sorry for my delayed reply on this. I’m researching it but don’t have a solution yet. I’ll put out an updated version of the plugin as soon as I find a solution that works.
