I’ve got the same thing happening even though I have the “Share Images” set to “No”
This is driving me MAD! I have the same problem. Literally hours before launching a huge campaign these icons show up and then won’t disappear even if I uncheck it, delete cache, everything. Even if I deactivate the plugin and reactive they come back.
I NEED this plugin active during this campaign, but all of the pinterest icons are ridiculous. Please help!
If anyone needs a quick fix to this problem, you can rename the javascript file that controls adding the the pinterest icons. It’s located in the plugin folder -> js -> add-pins-to-images.js.
If you rename or delete that file, it will fix the problem.
I imagine the real issue has to do with the pin_it() function not properly interpreting the value from share and follow settings.

Then you sengwad, that did the trick. I saved a copy of it just in case I need to put it back.
