[Resolved] [Plugin: Shadowbox JS] Why are there 2 plugins now?

  • Why do I show 2 of the Shadowbox JS plugin now? There’s the normal one and another of the same, but with “- Use Title from Image” after the title. Why is there 2? And what does the 2nd mean? Just wondering if I need to activate it or what?

  • Per the release announcement from my site:

Addition of new sub plugin titled “Shadowbox JS – Use Title from Image”, which will grab the title attribute from the child <img> tag if it exists and push it onto the parent <a> tag if a title does not exist.

So if I’d prefer to put the text I want to appear in the Shadowbox, in the img tag instead of the a tag, I just use that version of the plugin? That’s the only difference?

Not to question you, its a great plugin and I love it, and you’re awesome for making it. But if what I said above is true, does it need a whole additional plugin? Couldn’t it just be a checkbox in the settings?

Thanks for the response either way.

It could just be a checkbox in the settings, however it was just easier to create a second plugin, largely I write plugins for myself, and in this case that functionality is not something I use and thus didn’t want that code loading when I didn’t need it. So I figured I’d just create a sub plugin.

Makes a lot of sense. Thanks again.
