Support » Plugin: WooCommerce PayPal Payments » Plugin Setup is long winded – and then doesn’t work

  • WooCommerce PayPal Payments: Followed the setup carefully, it confirms that all is done – but no PayPal button shows on the checkout page. I’ve checked and rechecked, can’t find anything wrong – it just doesn’t work.
Too late I see lots of other 1 star reviews 🙁

    Hi @ognik

Thanks for providing feedback! We regret to hear you didn’t have a smooth setup.

Would you mind telling us more about what made the setup procedure long winded?
Normally your PayPal account can be connected, and the plugin configured to receive payments in less than a minute when using the onboarding wizard with the Activate PayPal button.

From what I can tell, your website is implementing the new WooCommerce Cart & Checkout Blocks. Full support for this new feature is in active development.

Please note that the latest PayPal Payments version includes an experimental Block Cart & Express Block Checkout integration for testing. To enable Block support, see the instructions here and reach out to the support if you have any questions or are interested in providing early feedback.

This is how the buttons on the Block Checkout page look like when they are enabled:

These buttons will only be visible when enabling the Block Express Checkout Smart Button Location in the Standard Payments tab:

Beyond the early Block integration, PayPal Payments can only be used with the regular WooCommerce shortcode cart & checkout pages.

I hope this clarifies the status and requirements to use PayPal Payments on the Block Checkout. For any questions, don’t hesitate to open a thread in the support forums. Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
