Sermon date mysteriously changes (3 posts)

When uploading a sermon, I set the date of the sermon, publish it, and then the date mysteriously changes to a day earlier.

I have this same problem. Was there ever a resolution?

We noticed the same issue--it looks like what is happening is that the podcast feed is adjusting the time based on what you put in your WP settings for your time zone, but because the sermons don't have a time in them, they're set at 00:00:00, and then when the podcast feed subtracts four hours (for eastern time, for example), the date in iTunes rolls back.

I've resolved it by editing the podcast-feed.php (in the /includes folder of the plugin) file directly... look for this line:

    <pubDate><?php wpfc_sermon_date('D, d M Y H:i:s O'); ?></pubDate>

Change that last O to a T and it will not make the time zone adjustment. (source: PHP Date/Time page)

Do this at your own risk--make sure you back up and have a copy of the original file on hand--and if the plugin is updated, this edit will be overwritten so you'll have to do it again, but it does seem to have done the trick for us. Would love to see it corrected in the plugin, though, please.
