Do you have any other plugins active that may be conflicting? Do you have any posts published?

    jdev & wpforchurch,

Thanks for your help. This is the site for my church. I’d love to get this working so I don’t have to hand code my xml podcast file. We now have a good bit of data in it, and it should be easier to take the next step.

FYI, there were some random errors in the descriptions. I retyped them to be sure no other code was in them and the feed is now valid!

I’m in the process of switching from our old feed …
    http://unionchapel.com/images/stories/audio/UCPodcast.xml

… to what I think is our new feed (this is different than what my webmaster posted above)(the one below came from the settings page in Sermon Manager):
    http://unionchapel.com/feed/podcast

How long do I wait before I get rid of my old podcast?

    Thx!

I have the same problem. Get this message trying to validate our feed:
    http://oasen.org/feed/podcast

    Sorry
    This feed does not validate.

Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found [help]
HTTP error with content that looks like a feed [help]

Can’t see what I can do to fix this. Any ideas?

    Anders

The only way I could fix it was to goto Sermons – Settings. Make sure everything is correct in every single blank.

Fill out all the blanks for each sermon when you edit it. I had some funky content killing my feed, but it wasn’t a 404 error. I’m not sure it’s seeing your feed at all. Look at the bottom of the settings page to doublecheck the location of your podcast.

I’m a wordpress newbie, but you might want to save your permalinks – whatever they are. Read the top of your settings page. Good luck.

You also need to have at least one post published or WordPress won’t generate a proper feed.

If your feed is not validating because it has two blank lines at the top of the XML document, it is because of a conflicting plugin such as Blubrry. You not only have to deactivate but delete the files to regenerate a proper XML document that will validate.

    That’s probably correct!
