[Resolved] [Plugin: SEO Ultimate] breaks directory guidelines

Restriction 4 in the plugin directory states:

The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission.

This plugin adds “Search engine optimization by SEO Design Solutions” to a sites footer by default, upon activation.

In the plugins settings area, there are two options:

    Enable attribution link
    Enable attribution link CSS styling

With both options unchecked (default settings), the link is embedded.

Thank you for reporting this issue about the attribution link sometimes appearing even when disabled. I released a new version (1.8.3) that resolves this bug.

We always intend to adhere to directory guidelines, and we appreciate you pointing out any issues or problems we may have missed.
