Just got back to my admin screen by deleteing BuddyPress, this plug in and the template pack. Wondering if anyone had their admin screen display a message saying “No New Registriations Are Being Accepted” (not exact) and then jump back to site?
Since this is a fresh isntall I choose to delete plugins via FTP and my Admin login page is back. Yeterday I was able to log in after intial BP install. Later I installed this plugin with registration ability disabled as well as that for WP until I figured out best anti-spam solutions. Then I signed out. First time I signed in today, no access to Admin screen. Deleted BP, Secure Invites and the template pack folders as well as a “hello.php” file that was in my root. Deleting just the Secure Invites didn’t get me back in so I presume it is a combination of plugin and BP that shut me out as I have not had BP ever lock me out of my ability to Administer my sites.
In any case, if this plugin in combination with BuddyPress or any other plugin is what caused my lack of ability to access my Admin due to some combination of my own doing to limit registrations, there is an issue, especially if there is no giant red flag suggesting that the actions I am taking will lock me out of my own site.
Wondering if anyone else is using this with a BP install and have been similarly locked out? If not, be careful when implementing these two together.
