Support » Plugins » [Plugin: Secondary HTML Content] Minor coding errors

  • I love the idea behind your plug-in. I was able to get it to work, well, kind of. The issue is that no other widget can be placed below your Secondary HTML Content widget(s). Doing this screws up the entire pages alignment.

Also, the Secondary HTML Content boxes (where you actually put the content) must be treated as a page in WordPress. I am using the AddThis Social Media Plug-in, and if I put one or five Secondary HTML Content widgets on a page, the AddThis plug-in inserts to those areas.

I’m not sure why the widget would screw up the alignment of anything. Can you elaborate?

I tend to think the secondary content should be cleaned up (filtered) just like the primary content. While this does mean plugins that inject sharing buttons into the content will effect other content blocks, it also means that plugins that do things like decode special short codes or add special formatting will work for all content areas. Perhaps I can investigate some advanced options allowing users to selectively disable filters.

    Thanks for sharing your feedback!
