[Plugin: Secondary HTML Content] HTML is stripped

  • I’m having a strange issue where I try to insert an iframe into the HTML view on a secondary html content block, and it is stripped out when I update it.

Here’s the html minus the correct youtube video code…

    <iframe title=”YouTube video player” class=”youtube-player” type=”text/html” width=”567″ height=”455″ src=”http://www.youtube.com/embed/xxx?rel=0″ frameborder=”0″ allowFullScreen></iframe>

I tried replacing the double quotes with single quotes.

Another issue that might be related is that I’ve had to add the media buttons myself with an appropriate hook as they never showed up when I checked ‘show media buttons’ in the secondary html content configuration settins.

  • I prefer to add youtube content using Viper’s Video plug in. It gives you short codes. The issue is the iframe tags, wordpress doesn’t play nice with iframe tags – I would either use Viper or and iframe plugin to allow short codes that won’t get stripped.
