# plugin search Term

 * I recently published a plugin to wordpress.org. The plugin shows up in the newest
   plugin list, recently updated list, I can search for it by author and tags, but
   not by term.
 * It would seem that the plugin search by Term is not finding any word in my description
   or plugin name.
 * What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.

 * That’s correct, authors and tags work here just like authors, tags, and categories
   work on your blog. They’re instantly searchable, because they’re a pre-existing
   form of categorization.
 * Searching by term is just like searching via Google. The local search engine 
   needs to index the plugin page before it can find it.
