Support » Fixing WordPress » Plugin Search: Allow visitor to select theme color scheme

    Hi.

I did some searching on the plugins page but unfortunately could not find what I am looking for. Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow users to switch the theme’s colors? I would like to have multiple color schemes for my site and allow visitors to choose which they want to use. I don’t allow user registrations on my site so the plugin will have to save the user’s choice via a cookie or something.

If anyone knows of a plugin that has this kind of function, please let me know! Thank you in advance.

  • I recently came across this one
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-switcha/

But I’ve used this one on my theme preview site (before it was old)

Hi. Thanks for the recommendation. I had actually tried this plugin in the past for something else but I didn’t realize it could also allow visitors to change the theme.

It looks like this switches full themes though. Do you know if there is a way to just switch stylesheets or something, either with Theme Switcha or another plugin?

Each theme will have its own way to do its stylesheet and its colors.
You could pick a theme and create multiple child themes from it that just load different options or stylesheets. Then use the plugin to switch between those.

    Hi again, @joyously.

That seems to be the only option. Thanks. I’m already using a child theme so I had to make a copy of the child theme (thank you, Child Theme Configurator!!) and then edit the CSS of the copy.

    Anyway, I appreciate the help!
