• The “What is This” link by: Publish Method doesn’t work for me. neither does the one by alternate content. the other two work.

tried the newest version 1.0.2 with the same results. problem persists.
also reported some problems via your feedback button.

    a bit confused:

Scribble Maps Embed vs Scribble Maps Widget

are these two different plugins? the one link you published earlier on was 1.0 the one in Wp is 1.0.2 but has a different name…
tried both though and the problem above persists…

Thanks for the feedback, obviously going to be a little rocky as we get this going. They are all the same plugin, we just renamed them. We literally got this listed yesterday.

Where is this what is this link you are referring to, I can’t seem to find it, is it in the plugin, or in the control panel?

Does the actual map embedding work for you?

don’t worry about rockiness 🙂 this is the plugin of the year for me!
will give you any help to get this plugin rocking!

here is the link I am talking about: http://screencast.com/t/SZbhs3ql4T4s

    here is another feature suggestion:
I#d love a widget to supply a list of maps to visitors so they can switch between them 🙂 basically having only one page called travelmaps that can show all my travelmaps via a widget.

Ya, we built it based on kimili, that page shouldn’t even be there. To add a map to your blog just click the icon under new post. We’re going to roll out a version without that settings page.

    🙂 ok, no problem.
to be honest those settings sound sweet, at least those I understood.
so if I understand this right, whatever I chose there will not be reflected actually? that is a pitty. if this could work, consider leaving those options for the advanced users…

btw. any idea if my request from above is doable?
here is a demo of another script just to explain what I am looking for: http://www.justin-klein.com/travellog

its one page that contains all travelmaps. selectable via the widget on the left…

    Plugin Author scribblemaps

    (@scribblemaps)

Which settings from there were you potentially interested in using?

The “map list” plugin is actually kind of an interesting idea, I am just trying to think of all the different use cases, and I think there is enough to justify adding that functionality to the current widget.

The reason I like this idea is because we get use a lot in the class room, and this would allow teachers to create a map list/dictionary of maps made by their kids, or a set of hiking trails.

unfortunately I have meanwhile upgraded so I can’t access those settings anymore…

I vaguely remember all those flash related choices… about active or passive display? something like that? Enable flash express installation, etc, can’t remember it all but I love settings 🙂

re: the map listing. I’ll quickly explain what I want to do: I would like to have a page called travelmaps, where one could select from all my “travels” and check out the maps… maybe with certain posts from my blog hyperlinked to certain locations? Dunno, just suggesting here… definitely loved the features of that other script, that is what I am using as a benchmark..

just to clarify: this plugin doesn’t have a widget yet, right? I can’t find any. you mean you will add a widget with the desired functionality?
widget in the sense of wordpress, for using in the sidebar….

ok, take a peak at my testpage: http://pacura.ru/travelmaps/

    keeps loading and loading…
I use a map created with your site, exported as kml and uploaded to my server… no errors in the logs so far.

    the KML is here: http://pacura.ru/wp-content/maps/pacuraruindia2010.km

We fixed the bug with KML url loading, you show now be able to see your maps.

true, works now. please keep me updated on any progress with the other questions/suggestions 🙂

going on a trip Tuesday so I’d love to have this working to post a map when I’m back 🙂
