No sorry, as those functions have been deprecated, I’m not planning on supporting them.
I just tested that my theme at http://www.golfandcarts.com are using the wp_get_archives but for some reason the “no-follow” still doesn’t seem to be added.
I’ve made sure that the check mark is set in the Robots Meta settings for all the archives not to be followed. Is there anything else that can cause the plugin not to work?
Thank you,
Mikael
There are only options to noindex the archive pages, not to nofollow them, as that makes no sense. Any link juice that is flowing to those pages should be flowing onward FROM those pages to single post pages.
But if I’m not mistaken you’re losing 20% (or only passing on about 80%) of the linkjuice and since you’re already passing it on from the category pages (which will most likely have better anchor text than archive pages) I don’t see what you would want to pass it on through archive pages also. I should be sufficient to let it flow through the categories.
But I could be wrong 🙂
You are wrong 🙂 The juice is there, spread it, or, like I do, get rid of your date based archives.
